• Windows versions which are no longer officially supported by Microsoft.
• Server dongles in a WAN (Wide Area Network).
• Access via third-party software such as Citrix.
• Virtual app access, e.g. via Citrix XenApp.
• Microsoft DFS with asynchronous replication.
• Synchronisation programs for directories and cloud solutions such as Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Nextcloud/Owncloud, Syncthing etc.
